Mission Partner Gift Designations
Annual Fund: The Annual Fund is the primary way parents, alumni, grandparents, parishioners and friends make philanthropic gifts to Stella Maris Academy each year. It supports the mission of Stella Maris Academy by providing unrestricted funds for programming, tuition assistance, professional development and designated projects.
Leave a Legacy: Bequests are the most popular and easiest way to make a planned gift to any charitable organization. Simply stated, a bequest is a transfer via a will or a living trust-of cash, securities, or tangible property to an individual or a charity. Bequests can be made for a specific amount or for a percentage of your estate. Careful planning is essential, and we would be happy to talk over all the possibilities with you and your advisors.
SMA Endowments: Long-term sustainability occurs through the SMA endowments. Stella Maris Academy has two endowments; one supporting faculty and staff compensation, the other for general operations. Interest earned from the principal is distributed to the annual budget. Increasing the SMA endowments advances our mission- indefinitely.
Capital Campaign: Stella Maris Academy’s mission is growing with added programming. Support the current SMA Capital Campaign that is preparing the forever home of our Sentinels at our Stella Maris Academy High School. High School Catholic education is back in Duluth and will take our Sentinel community to prepare the space for our future!
Events: Participate in the Sentinel community as we come together to support the Stella Maris Academy mission.
Bishop’s Dinner - An annual fall event that supports the tuition assistance programs at Stella Maris Academy. Participation in the Bishop’s Dinner assures that no family is denied a Stella Maris Academy education for financial reasons.
Annual Day of Giving - A day of impact giving at Stella Maris Academy. All gifts given within this 24 hour campaign will build the SMA Faculty and Staff Endowment. Our mission depends on the committed team members who invest their time and talent into Catholic education.
Stellabration - The Spring celebration is an opportunity to participate in a live and silent auction, a special fund-a-need project, games, community building, and FUN!
